Hidden Lanterns

Description

Red lanterns and golden flames blazed as drums and music filled the long street, a first dream of prosperity unfolding. Then, at a turning, the lantern shades stirred. Colors surfaced within the lights, curving like smiling faces. Bathed in moonlight, the lantern shades slithered and coiled, moving like serpents.
