The ruins are so named for the Swordsmith Ruins, home of the Sacred Knights who battled on behalf of the Wishing Woods during the War Against the Dark. The landscape is still dotted with the Iron Squirrel mechanisms from that era, as well as the ruins of the rest of the ancient complex that once covered the area.
